Our niche market research
In this task, we would like to prove the three following things:
1. There is sufficient search traffic to indicate demand.
2. Proven internet buyers.
3. It's reasonable accesible in terms of competition.
We would like to analyze if this webshop would be an opportunity or not.

1. Sufficient search traffic to indicate demand
The tool that we’ve used to do research on the search traffic is Google trends. Our target group are people of the middle and upper middle class between 20 and 35 years old who live in Belgium. As you can see in the graphics above, we can conclude that there’s isn’t much search traffic for (online) car parts nowadays. Actually, previously there was more search traffic, but during the years, we can see that these product are becoming less popular to search on the internet.
Most of the traffic generated comes from America and none of these search demands comes from the country Belgium. We can conclude that our niche market doesn’t have a sufficient search traffic to indicate demand. So, people really have to know that we exist and that’s why we have to make a lot of promotion for our webshop with the aid of social media (Facebook, Twitter). We also can create buzzmarketing by telling it to friends or family. Another thing we have to do in our marketing strategy is to pay for relevant ad words so that people directly can find us on the web if they typ ‘car parts belgium’ for example.

2. Proven internet buyers
The graphic shows that the amount of buyers on eBay increases, which means that people use the internet to buy new or second hand things. This is an opportunity for us.
3. Reasonable accessible in terms of competition
Ebay
Kapaza
eBay and Kapaza are major competitors of VO-Cars, because they web shops where people can buy nearly new and new things. As you can see on the print screens above, customers also have the possibility to buy tiyres and rims and a lot of other car parts on these websites.
On eBay, you can select in which country you want to buy and in which condition the products are (new or second-hand).
That’s also the same for Kapaza but it only offers products for the region Belgium.
VO-cars really has to pay attention and the company has to distinguish themself from competitors with manners such las giving promotions, delivery method,…
Conclusion
We can conclude that we really have to do some efforts to make people know we exist on the web. We know we’re selling products that can be easily found on more popular websites like Kapaza and eBay.
However, we believe we could make it by giving promotions, social media advertisements and buzz marketing (with the aid of family and friends). Also the fact that there are competitors who are offering the same products, make us realize that we have to differentiate our self from them.
